Axiom Church is starting worship services September 19, 2010 at 5 PM.
We are not coming to Gainesville because this city needs more churches. We are coming because Gainesville needs different churches. This city needs churches that will reach the over 170,000 people who don't go to church anywhere on Sunday morning. It also needs churches that produce Christ-followers who are willing to lay down their own ambitions to care for others.
We are going to be that church. We will be a multi-site church that meets together weekly in homes around Gainesville (Axiom Groups) as well as for corporate worship on Sunday evenings. Our corporate services will be a celebration of God and what He is doing in our Axiom Groups (mini-churches).
The purpose behind this intentional design is to ensure that the vast majority of our church is participating, that they are outwardly focused, and that they actively investing in this community. It is a two-door approach to reaching people and inspiring spiritual growth. This strategy allows people to get engaged with our church from a Sunday worship service or in our Axiom Groups.
At our Sunday worship services you'll find a modern worship band, casual dress, and hear messages pulled from the Bible, not just sprinkled with it. In our weekly Axiom Groups you will experience ministry, evangelism, fellowship, discipleship, and worship in new and personal ways.
We believe Axiom will be a church unlike anything you have done before. We aren't for everyone, but you might like it more than you think.

Dustin is currently studying Business at the University of Florida and is involved with Campus Crusade for Christ. He is a native Floridian, who loves skateboarding and bike riding to class and around Gainesville, which means you may have almost hit him. He loves to have fun, but don't let Dustin's boisterous and joviality attitude fool you. He is an extraordinary thinker and has a true passion for seeking God and seeking truth. He is also an earnest seeker of peace and will strive for a peaceful resolution to any issue he faces.

Northwood Church Planting was born out of a dream, a dream that followers of Jesus Christ and their churches would be so radically changed from the inside out that those disciples, their families, their churches, their neighborhoods and their work places would never be the same. And as a result of a transformational experience, these disciples and their churches would form partnerships that would transform their communities and touch the world. Groups of regionally-located churches or churches within the same city (clusters of churches) would link arms to provide cities and nations good news in all arenas fresh water, nutritional food, 21st century healthcare, competitive education and spiritual truth.
If this worldwide, strategic, interdenominational alliance of churches went full-force after its calling from Christ to be salt and light to serve the least of these glocally (locally and globally), the world would literally be transformed. Every pocket of the globe would be changed.
